Direct answer

What are online Urdu classes for kids?

Online Urdu classes for kids are live lessons that help children understand, speak, read and write Urdu with a teacher from home. Kahaf Quraan places each learner by ability rather than age alone, then builds useful family conversation alongside Urdu script, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension.

United Kingdom

After-school, evening and weekend options for British Pakistani families and complete beginners.

United States

Eastern, Central and Pacific-time requests matched around school and family routines.

Canada

Private Urdu practice for children who hear the language at home but answer mainly in English or French.

Australia

AEST, AEDT and AWST-friendly requests for weekday or weekend Urdu learning from home.

Parent goals

Urdu your child can use beyond the lesson

A useful course should change everyday communication, not only complete worksheets. Lessons connect language skills to family, identity and real situations.

01

Speak with family

Practise greetings, requests, questions, feelings, routines and respectful conversation with parents and grandparents.

02

Read Nastaliq naturally

Learn letter shapes, joining patterns, vowel clues and fluent word recognition without depending permanently on Roman Urdu.

03

Write with meaning

Move from tracing and copying to sentence building, messages, descriptions and short creative writing at the right level.

Structured pathway

A complete Urdu curriculum, not random tutoring

The placement demo identifies the correct starting point. Students can spend longer on one level when needed and move faster where skills are already secure.

Course arrangements

Clear expectations before a family pays for a recurring lesson place.

Teacher availability

The academy confirms the tutor, time zone and recurring slot in writing on WhatsApp before payment. Requests are subject to a suitable teacher being available.

Payment

Monthly fees are paid in advance only after the timetable and plan are agreed. The selected slot is then reserved for that month.

Rescheduling

Send a written request at least 24 hours before class. A replacement is arranged where teacher availability allows; late cancellations and no-shows normally count as used.

Academy cancellation

If the academy cancels, the lesson is rearranged or credited. Delivered lessons are non-refundable; statutory rights and refunds for undelivered services remain unaffected.

Course design is informed by established four-skill language teaching: speaking, listening, reading and writing. External references are provided for parents comparing pathways.

Parent questions

Online Urdu classes for kids FAQs

Clear answers before your family books the first demo.

Can my child join if they understand Urdu but cannot speak it?

Yes. This is common for heritage learners. The teacher begins with low-pressure questions, useful sentence frames and repetition, then gradually expects longer independent answers.

Do beginners need to know the Urdu alphabet?

No. Complete beginners can start with sounds, core vocabulary and letter recognition. Roman Urdu may support the earliest stage, but the course steadily builds Nastaliq reading.

Are these only Urdu speaking classes?

No. Families can choose a speaking-led route or a complete programme covering listening, speaking, reading and writing. Placement determines the correct balance.

Can adults or teenagers join?

Yes. Lesson examples, pace and goals are adjusted for children, teenagers and adult beginners.

Which countries and time zones do you support?

Families can request suitable times in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia. Final availability depends on teacher schedules and daylight-saving changes.

How much home practice is expected?

Five to ten minutes on most days is usually more useful than one long weekly session. Teachers provide a small speaking, reading or writing target.

How do the three free demo lessons work?

The first checks level and comfort, the second demonstrates real teaching, and the third confirms the recommended level, timetable and plan.

Are international currency prices fixed?

No. GBP is the academy’s base price. USD, CAD and AUD displays are reference conversions; payment providers may use a different rate or add fees.
